ZORANA ĐINĐIĆA

Behind the scenes

In the heart of Block 29 in New Belgrade, a 78-square-meter apartment underwent a complete transformation, from the structure itself to the final detail, on a full turnkey basis. Everything began with an idea and a carefully developed architectural concept, and this project gained an additional layer of charm because our client was also an architect, which made the collaboration even more inspiring. We started from the very beginning with demolition and clearing works, bringing the apartment into the so-called grey phase. After that, we completely replaced the electrical, plumbing, and drainage installations, opening the space to a new life. One of the key design moves was removing the partition wall between the shower cabin and the WC, which made the bathroom more spacious and comfortable.

We relocated the entrance door according to the design, while the new ceramic finishes in the bathroom and kitchen brought freshness and elegance. By removing the old ceilings, we uncovered an unusual detail from the past, coffered ceilings that stood as witnesses to another time. Even so, we decided to refresh the space with suspended ceilings and new lighting points. After the drywall works, painting and decorating followed, while the radiators received new valves. We did not replace the old parquet, rich in character and history. Instead, we sanded and varnished it, revealing its natural beauty and warmth. We also opened the kitchen toward the dining area by demolishing a wall and removing the pantry, creating an airy and functional space. All interior doors were replaced with new, elegant white MDF models. The result is an apartment that now radiates light, warmth, and a perfect balance between modern and classic. See how it looked at the beginning, how the works progressed, and how it shines today in the videos below.
