TELEVIZORKE

Behind the scenes

Everything started with the clear vision of our architect and designer, who worked closely with the investor to define the exact direction for this 58-square-meter apartment in the well-known New Belgrade "Televizorke" blocks. The moment we had the final renders in our hands, those precise projections of the future home, we knew it was time for the plans to move from paper into reality. We moved decisively into action, and the first step was the roughest but also the most necessary one: demolition and clearing out the space. We removed partition walls not only to change the layout, but to give the apartment a new level of functionality and solve the main challenge: creating one more bedroom. We solved this architectural puzzle with a bold move. Apartment renovation in Televizorke - creating a third bedroom and installing new heating linesWe relocated the old kitchen area into the former hallway in front of the entrance door. By demolishing the old closet and strategically moving the entrance door itself to a new position, we created a valuable "pocket" where the newly designed kitchen fit perfectly.
Apartment renovation in Televizorke - creating a third bedroom and an additional bathroom We did not stop there. Since the comfort of the future owners was a priority, we took on the challenge of creating an entirely new toilet, giving the apartment a much-needed second bathroom. You can see how the work progressed in the video below.

Apartment renovation in Televizorke - installations, terrace integration and lighting We expanded the apartment even further by integrating the old terrace into the living room, which we achieved through careful parapet wall construction and glazing. At the same time, all old exterior joinery throughout the apartment was replaced with new, modern windows that brought better insulation and more light.
Apartment renovation in Televizorke - new electrical, plumbing and heating installations Inside the walls, everything pulsed with new life. We installed a complete new electrical, plumbing and drainage system, while carrying out precise interventions on the heating network. We relocated the radiators, concealed the old exposed ceiling pipes behind new constructions, and installed a new towel radiator in the bathroom connected to the district heating system. Another major step was the installation of two new air-conditioning units. To preserve the clean visual appearance, all installations were embedded into the walls so they would remain fully hidden. Because of the specific window position typical of the Televizorke buildings, and at the client's request, we fabricated custom metal brackets so the outdoor units would not block the view or disturb the sightline through the window. We also covered the old terrace, which had suffered from ceiling leaks, with a new galvanized sheet-metal roof. It was a more demanding position to solve due to the height and difficult roof access, but our sheet-metal craftsmen handled it successfully.
Apartment renovation in Televizorke - bathroom construction and final interior details The entire apartment received brand-new suspended ceilings on a metal substructure, while the drywall work reached its peak in the bathroom niches, where it paired beautifully with the ceramic finishes. To make everything perfectly level and visually unified, we prepared the floors with self-leveling compound throughout the apartment, erasing the transitions between parquet and ceramic surfaces. Finally, like the finishing touch that completes a work of art, the painting works brought everything together. They refined the space, connected light and color into harmony, and transformed the renovation site into a home that breathes, lives, and waits for its new residents to create memories in it. See the apartment transformation in the video below.
