SKOJEVSKO

More about project

An apartment in Skojevsko Naselje in Vidikovac, 64m2, which we completely renovated under the "turnkey" system within the agreed period of 60 days.
In addition to the standard works that are an essential part of complete apartment renovations, we also built additional walls and relocated the entrance door to a new position.
By expanding the apartment into the hallway area of the building, we slightly increased the overall square footage. Of course, this modification was carried out with the consent of the neighbors, and the new owners gained an expanded entrance area, which became ideal for storing shoes and outerwear upon entry. The old entrance door was replaced with a new, more secure white door.
In agreement with the owners and in accordance with their wishes, we also played around a bit with the apartment's functional layout. Partial modifications were made to some of the partition walls. A section of the wall towards the living room was demolished to open up the space further. Some existing walls were shortened, and the kitchen area was reduced with a drywall partition.
The idea was to transform part of the old kitchen into a workspace with a new parapet and a decorative shelf. The shelf would vertically extend to the wall, visually separating the workspace from the dining area while ensuring that the amount of natural daylight was not significantly reduced, which we successfully achieved.
The old wooden parapet between the living room and the terrace was removed, and a new one was built for better thermal insulation, followed by the installation of new PVC windows.
The originally enclosed terrace was opened up by dismantling the old metalwork, and with ceramic and painting works, it became a beautiful oasis for enjoying the warmer part of the year.
You can see how the tiling work in the bathroom was done, as well as the transformation of the bathroom before and after, in the video bathroom reconstruction.
The apartment is almost entirely built with reinforced concrete walls, reflecting the solid post-war Yugoslav architecture. 😊 We had some challenges with repositioning the electrical wiring while preserving the existing floors, but dealing with reinforced concrete was far from an impossible task for us.
It wasn't our first time, nor will it be our last.
If any colleagues need a list of Belgrade neighborhoods where apartments are mostly built with reinforced concrete, feel free to contact us. 😊
The apartment was completely renovated within the planned timeframe and handed over to the owners, to whom we extend our gratitude for their cooperation.

How we managed the process can be seen in the video apartment reconstruction, which showcases the transformation of the apartment before and after through various stages of the renovation work.
