MIHAJLA PUPINA
More about project
Right on the border of Zemun and New Belgrade, in Mihajla Pupina Street,
the original 60m2 apartment was ready for complete renovation.
The idea was to create a tailor-made apartment for the owner who hired us,
making it a base and a warm home for her when she is in Belgrade.
Following the client's guidelines and envisioned ideas, our task was simply to turn imagination into reality. 😊
It is always easy for us to implement something that is clearly defined.
We always give a warm recommendation or an occasional piece of advice regarding the apartment's functionality,
striving not to compromise the envisioned aesthetics.
Another new chapter in improving Belgrade's living spaces was about to begin.
As directors say on set - "ACTION!" 😊
We first tackled the heating installations.
Valve replacements were done, with modifications to the connections and relocation of three radiators
to new positions due to the future furniture layout.
New windows and doors were installed to better insulate the dual-oriented apartment.
By demolishing, clearing out, and removing all unnecessary elements, the apartment was brought back to its gray phase.
A rare chandelier from the Spanish Civil War was carefully dismantled and preserved so it could be reinstalled
after all the work was completed.
The passage from the dining room to the living room was widened,
and the old kitchen door opening was walled up.
In the bathroom, a built-in cistern with a wall-mounted toilet replaced the old monoblock.
The entire plumbing and sewage system was replaced, along with the relocation of the kitchen sink to a new position.
The choice of ceramics and how it fits into the new bathroom,
designed according to the owner's vision, is best showcased in the final result,
which you can see in the video bathroom renovation.
Complete electrical work was done, followed by painting work.
Custom-made interior doors were crafted from painted MDF, while the entrance door was replaced
with a new secure, armored door in an oak finish.
The parquet was also oak, second class (somewhat larger dimensions: 400x70),
completely refreshing the space and giving it the necessary warmth.
After the renovation work was completed, the process of making custom-built furniture
and furnishing the apartment could begin.
How we carried out the project and how the apartment transformation before and after
took place through different phases of work can be seen in the final result presentation.
The apartment was completed within the agreed timeframe and handed over to the owner for enjoyment.
And finally, to quote one comment we received—without being falsely modest, because it truly warmed our hearts:
"Thank you for making Belgrade a more beautiful place to live." 😊
