Last summer, we started the renovation project of a 78m2 apartment in the Medaković neighborhood, carried out under the "turnkey" system.
Our primary task, in addition to the complete renovation, was to convert the originally three-room apartment into a four-room one, so the owner could have an additional bedroom.
Following the client's conceptual ideas and wishes, we got to work. From the apartment's old dining area and at the expense of part of the large terrace, we created a new bedroom. We walled up the part of the terrace that was needed to become part of the newly designed room. During the construction, an opening was made for a new window on the room's exterior wall. The existing heating unit was relocated to the new exterior parapet, and part of the floor was leveled to match the height between the terrace and the dining room, which was later essential for installing parquet flooring throughout the apartment.
The old passage to the kitchen was closed off, and a new drywall partition with a doorway leading to the living room was created.
Most importantly, thanks to its previous dimensions, the terrace did not lose much of its functionality.
The terrace railing was modified and repainted. In addition to the essential standard renovation work (electrical installations, plumbing, tiling, and painting, etc.), a few other minor changes were made to the property. The parapet heights throughout the apartment were adjusted, and one bedroom was reduced in size with a partition wall to create space for a built-in wardrobe in the hallway. The space was made cozy with new windows, refreshed with new interior doors, and enriched with new oak parquet flooring. The bathroom was completely reconstructed, including the creation of a wall niche in the shower area. You can see the bathroom renovation before and after in the bathroom renovation video.
The apartment was completed within the planned 60-day timeframe and, to the mutual satisfaction of both parties, was handed over to its new owners for use.
