MAKENZIJEVA
Behind the scenes
In one of the most beautiful streets in Vracar, Makenzijeva, we had
the opportunity to completely transform a 60-square-meter apartment and prepare it
for a new chapter. Our task was not just a cosmetic refresh, but a
thorough reconstruction that guarantees comfort and security for decades to come.
The 60-day deadline was demanding, but with a clear plan and full commitment,
every square meter gained a new purpose.
The true value of this adaptation lies where it is not visible at first glance.
We replaced the old heating system with modern independent heating powered by an electric
boiler, and to preserve the aesthetics of the space, we carefully embedded the new
installations into the existing screed.
The old, worn-out radiators were removed, and their place was taken by
new, modern radiators that fit perfectly into the interior. To ensure everything
worked flawlessly, a completely new power cable was brought directly to the electricity
meter, raising the apartment's energy stability to the highest level.
We paid special attention to the bathroom. Along with the complete replacement of the plumbing and
sewage network, we decided on a smart architectural move:
we shifted the doorway about 30 centimeters to the left. With this small
but crucial intervention, we achieved a much better layout and
functionality the space previously lacked. We also replaced the rotten and
worn vertical water supply pipe, which posed a risk of
potential bursting. You can see the bathroom transformation
in the following video:
Once the "invisible" works were completed, it was time for what makes an apartment feel like a home.
Painting, flooring, and tiling works restored the apartment's full shine,
while custom-made furniture and a new kitchen brought warmth and elegance.
One of the more complex tasks was the terrace: we replaced the old, rotten railing
with new, high-quality metalwork, and the complete joinery package, from windows
to interior doors and new secure entrance doors, rounded out this story of
quality.
This apartment in Makenzijeva was not just renovated; it was reborn, ready
to provide its residents with warmth and security in one of the most beautiful parts
of Belgrade.
You can watch how this exciting reconstruction unfolded, from rough renovation work to
the very last installed screw, in the video below.
